Onyx Health team

Driven by an innate passion and desire to deliver communication programmes that really make a difference to healthcare, Karen Winterhalter founded Onyx Health in 2003. Since its conception, Onyx Health has grown from strength to strength. In our eyes, it is the unique blend of core skills, diversity and specialist knowledge our team of 12 healthcare experts bring, that enables us to respond to the specifics of any client brief

We believe that our success starts with our people. We invest in our team, channelling and challenging individual talent to create the 'best team' approach to meet any job in hand

Karen Winterhalter

• Founder of Onyx Health, Karen Winterhalter has over 20 years experience within the NHS, pharmaceutical industry and healthcare communications business
• Before forming Onyx Health, Karen was European Director of Healthcare at Weber Shandwick Worldwide, London, and has held other healthcare positions in leading public relations agencies
• Karen began her career as a psychiatric nurse and then moved into the pharmaceutical industry initially as a medical representative, before moving into PR

• Her experience has led to wide ranging exposure of key therapeutic areas including; mental health, CNS, cardiology, female reproductive health, respiratory medicine, oncology, metabolic medicine and hospital specific marketing to an international level
• When she's not working, Karen's favourite hobby is buying shoes, drinking red wine and lying on a beach doing absolutely nothing
